What is a machine element?
Machine elements are parts or design principles that fulfil the same or similar functions in various machines and devices, so they generally appear in the same or similar form. We are speaking here of elements because they are the smallest possible construction that can be used for fulfilling a specific function. The machine elements could be small individual parts such as seals, screws, pins, etc., or they could be more complex assemblies such as couplings, ball bearings, gear boxes, etc.
Machine elements make life easier
The standardization of the function of machine elements means that the design types and dimensions are typically described in norms or manufacturer standards. Of course, individual design types or dimensions which deviate from norms or catalogs are no problem with Winco either. Machine elements are characterized by the fact that they can be clearly defined with a selection of design parameters or nominal dimensions without the need to describe all properties in detail.
