When installing lifting eye bolts WN 580, it is of utmost importance to ensure that the face is in firm contact with the mating surface.
Do not apply load across the face of the ring!
The values given in the table are only applicable when the component attached to the ring is steel, cast steel, or cast iron, and is fastened securely to the mating surface.
The load bearing capacity in the table is for straight vertical loading. The capacity is drastically reduced when loading at any angle. Loading must never be made at an angle greater than 45° from the bolt centerline. At an angle of 45°, the load bearing capacity is reduced to 1/4 of the value in the table.
